The Ministry of Health (MOH) has warned against dealing with alternative medicine impostors, who promote themselves via mass media and social media without a license. Through its health awareness platform: «Live Well», MOH has published a video to underscore the importance of not to be misled by such medical imposters, who have no scientific license and try to exploit patients’ need for treatment.
Within the same vein, MOH has called on citizens and residents to essentially obtain health information from its reliable scientific sources, and to contact 937-Service Center to report any medical imposters who do not have any recognized qualifications or an official license from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). Also, MOH has highlighted that the information about such license can be obtained through NCCAM.
