Northern Borders: Over 55,000 Beneficiaries Served by Tobacco Control Program Last Year

​​According to the Northern Borders Health Affairs, over the past year (2019), the Tobacco Control Program served more than 55,000 beneficiaries. “The program, also, presented 154 educational lectures, 89 awareness pavilions and exhibitions, and 13 courses, as well as benefiting 74 schools from its activities,” state the Affairs.

It is worth mentioning that the Northern Borders Health Affairs features ten specialized medical centers (a cardiac center, three diabetes centers, three kidney centers, and three dental centers), as well as 11 hospitals with a 1,410-bed capacity, which are enhanced with a number of delicate medical specialties such as: neurosurgery, heart surgery, bariatric surgery, endoscopy, and others. Besides, the Affairs has 48 primary healthcare centers.
