MOH and GDCD Hold Integrated Workshop

​The Ministry of Health (MOH), in integration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense (GDCD), held a workshop yesterday (Wednesday). During the workshop, both parties have discussed a number of topics of mutual interest to unify efforts and develop work mechanisms that will contribute, Allah Willing- to achieving safety at health facilities in line with the globally adopted standards. 

It is worth mentioning that the workshop tackled a number of issues, most prominently: updating self-evacuation plans for health facilities, conducting virtual reality (virtual experiences) on these plans, developing a unified training mechanism on medical evacuation, training the hospitals’ staff on evacuation plans in case of fires, and activating the role of volunteers among health professionals with qualifications and specialties that can be used in emergency situations, following up and supporting the project of supportive medical team in case of disasters, as well as integrating with the support and rescue team of GDCD to form a support team for global disasters.

Finally, recommendations were made on all discussed topics and issues, and will be put into effect by 2020, Allah willing.
