The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Electronic Registration for People with Disabilities Initiative, has won the first place in «For Them» Award for excellence and leadership in caring for people with disabilities. This has been declared during the first Forum for families of people with disabilities, recently held in Riyadh under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh.
Electronic Registration for People with Disabilities System, which is one of MOH’s initiatives, reflects its keenness to improve the quality and accuracy of services, in addition to the speedy delivery of people with disabilities’ service coordination committees. It is noted that the system makes procedures easier and faster, in terms of obtaining the service through only one visit after being three visits on average. Also, the system provides an Inter-committee database to be shared with all competent authorities.
