MOH Organizes First Conference Fostering Baby-Friendly Community Next Week

​The Ministry of Health (MOH) will organize the First Conference Fostering Baby-Friendly Community, from November 25th-27th, in Jeddah, with the participation of 30 local and international speakers.​

According to MOH, the conference aims to boost quality and efficiency of health services for mother and child care, and to monitor infant and toddlers feeding, in line with international standards, in order to achieve international indicators for baby-friendly community through enhancing local and international partnership.
 
The conference will discuss a number of topics, including: International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, Role of International Organizations and Local Sectors in Monitoring and Implementation of the Code, Effective Research Methodology in Breastfeeding, Accrediting Health Institutions as Baby-Friendly in Accordance with International Standards, Role of NGO in Fostering BFC, as well as other relevant topics. Also, the conference will organize a number of events, workshops and accompanying exhibition.
