According to Al-Ahsa Health Affairs, over the past year, the Maternity and Children Hospital's emergency department served 204,910 patients, including 75,347 at the women emergency and 129,563 patients at children emergency section.
A recent statistical data disseminated by the hospital indicated that the outpatient clinics served 54,447 patients, including 31,575 at the women emergency and 22,872 at the children emergency, stated the Affairs, adding that the hospital performed 6,370 surgeries, including routine, emergency and one-day surgeries, 5,517 for women and 853 for children, as well as 11,843 births.
Recently, MOH has provided the hospital with a state-of-the-art MRI section, as well as a renal dialysis service, which is one of the most advanced medical services for patients in critical condition.
