Minister of Health Discusses Investment Opportunities with Businessmen

​​His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, has discussed the promising investment opportunities in the health sector, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. This came during his meeting yesterday on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2019 with a host of businessmen and investors in the health sector; with a view to support the march of the private health sector in the expansion of medical services across the Kingdom.


During the meeting, Al-Rabiah has underlined MOH’s key initiatives, including E-Licensing Platform, which is meant to facilitate issuing licenses within few minutes, license issuance for supportive services (e.g. pharmacies), as well as physiotherapy services. It is noteworthy that MOH has issued more than 50,000 licenses for health practitioners, more than 5,000 initial approval for practicing health professions, in addition to more than 450 final licenses. Also, the attendees have been briefed on the Self-Assessment Program, which has recently been launched, and is reckoned a paradigm shift in boosting the self-censorship spirit.

Also, Al-Rabiah has highlighted the importance of private health partnership and its key role in development. Besides, he has underscored MOH’s keenness to launch initiatives that ensure the health sector development to raise the Kingdom's ranking in business competitiveness to the most developed countries.

It is worth mentioning that the meeting has touched on the most important obstacles in the health sector, opportunities for development, and the importance of enhancing the existing communication channels with the Ministry.
