The Ministry of Health (MOH), over the past year, 1440H., has conducted over 34,000 inspection tours with the aim of maintaining patients' safety across the Kingdom.
MOH has conducted 34,430 tours, and issued 2,088 punitive actions against private health institutions and 608 against health practitioners. Also, the violations committee ordered the closure of 15 hospitals, 234 medical complexes and 56 pharmacies until violations are corrected. Also, 56 health institutions were ordered to close down.
According to MOH, the most common violations ranged from the absence of a regular health facility license and a regular health practitioner license, the lack of essential medicines and basic medical equipment, the inadequate application of the infection control system, and the lack of minimal medical staff.
