21 July 2019

The Ministry of Health (MOH) launched today, Sunday 18/11/1440H its annual awareness program dubbed "Your Health Consultant in Hajj", which comes in line with the ministry's keenness to maintain the health and safety of pilgrims, citizens and residents and provide them with medical tips. The Assistant Agency for Primary Healthcare, represented by the Medical Consultations General Department, continues implementation of the service via 937-Service Center and MOH's Twitter account @saudimoh.

Every day, the program hosts an elite of consultants and specialists for seven days to answer all calls and inquiries of those wishing to perform Hajj.  In addition, the callers will be briefed on the health requirements to be met by pilgrims and Umrah performers, as well as health guidelines before, during and after the Hajj.

On Sunday, from 01 pm to 03 pm, the center will host Dr. Safia Al-Sherbini, Endocrinology & Diabetes Consultant to answer diabetics' questions and giving them medical instructions before and during Hajj rituals.

On Monday, Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant, Dr. Hayat Al-Rabiah will provide women, particularly pregnant women wishing to perform Hajj, with the most important tips that must be followed before and during Hajj rituals.

On Tuesday, Epidemiologist and Community Medicine Consultant and Director of MOH's Expanded Program on Immunization, Dr. Musallam Younis Abu Hassan will be hosted to talk about the importance of vaccinations before Hajj to strengthen and stimulate body immunity to fight diseases and epidemics.
