According to Hail Health Affairs, over the first half of this year (2019), King Khalid Hospital served 58,272 outpatients, 117,842 emergencies, and 6,459 inpatients, in addition to 6,471 patients discharged from the hospital. The hospital also performed 2,570 one-day surgeries, 1,299,322 lab tests, and 101,892 radiology examinations.
It is noteworthy that King Khalid Hospital (with a 285-bed capacity) is the main reference hospital in Hail. The hospital emergency department has recently witnessed a major development through its facilities and an increase of its clinics; thus reducing outpatients waiting time and improving the quality of regulatory and therapeutic procedures.
