MOH Advises Mother to Visit Doctor 6 Weeks after Childbirth
11 April 2019

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has released a number of awareness tips for postpartum mother. It underlined the importance of visiting her doctor to monitor her health and to check blood pressure especially if she had experienced health problems during or after childbirth, in addition to get reassured about her wellbeing.

Through an Infographic published in its twitter page, within the campaign "#Healthy Pregnancy", MOH advised mother to visit her doctor after giving birth to check the surgical sutures in case of caesarean section or other surgical interventions. It added that the mother should discuss a number of issues with her doctor, such as suitable contraception methods, vaginal discharge and necessary vaccinations. You should have your postnatal check 6 weeks after childbirth.

Such awareness-raising activities come in continuation of MOH's efforts to maintain the health and safety of all community members, to promote health awareness and to urge individuals to adopt healthy behaviors.
