Northern Borders: 77 Advanced Training Courses for 726 Health Practitioners in 3 Months

​​According to the Northern Borders Health Affairs, over the first quarter of this year (2019), 77 advanced training courses have been conducted for 726 trainees, including 62 cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) courses for 456 trainees, seven advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) courses for 121 trainees, three communication skills training courses for 52 emergency physicians, four advanced resuscitation of the newborn infant (ARNI) courses for 73 trainees, and an advanced trauma life support (ATLS) course for 24 trainees.

"These training courses aim to hone the skills of health practitioners, as well as improving the training quality", stated the Affairs.

It is worth mentioning that the Northern Borders Health Affairs features ten specialized medical centers (a cardiac center, three diabetes centers, three kidney centers, and three dental centers), as well as 11 hospitals with a 1,410-bed capacity, which are enhanced with a number of delicate medical specialties such as: neurosurgery, heart surgery, bariatric surgery, endoscopy, and others. Besides, the Affairs has 48 primary healthcare centers.
