Hail: 229,206 Emergencies Served by King Khalid Hospital Last Year

​According to Hail Health Affairs, over the past year (2018), King Khalid Hospital served 229,206 emergencies, 133,221 outpatients, and 12,686 inpatients, in addition to 12,857 patients discharged from the hospital after recovering.


 “Over the same period, 583 patients have been admitted at Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) and 648 at Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Besides, the hospital performed 2,795 surgeries, 5,250 one-day surgeries, 2,056,083 lab tests, 17,1129 radiology examinations, and 14,326 dialysis sessions,  in addition to 11,224 blood units donated at the hospital,” stated the Affairs.

It is worth mentioning that the Affairs seeks to improve the emergency departments across the region's hospitals; the matter which will be reflected upon the emergency medical services provided. This will contribute to enhancing the capacity of hospitals to fulfil their duties of providing emergency services with cutting-edge technical capabilities, medical equipment, and qualified cadres to the highest standards; to ensure the quality of services provided to patients and emergencies.
