Hafr Al-Batin: Maternity and Children Hospital Emergency Outpatients Reduced
18 February 2019

As a result of MOH's efforts to improve the services provided by primary healthcare centers, the number of outpatients served by the Emergency Department of Maternity and Children Hospital has been reduced by almost the half, during the past month.

According to Hafr Al-Batin Health Affairs, over the past month, 14,452 patients were served by the emergency department with a reduction rate of 44% compared to 32,804 patients during the same month of last year.

MOH has worked to reduce congestion at hospitals' emergency departments, particularly children emergencies, through keeping many health centers operational 24/7, and others up to 16 hours daily; thus contributing to reducing congestion by 50%, while providing the same quality service, adds the Affairs.

The Affairs has announced inauguration of East Al-Batin Healthcare Center, Al-Nuzha and Al-Ruqi Neighborhood Centers, which operate 24/7, as well as Al-Aziziyah (A) Center, East Al-Muhamdiyah Center, Al-Zaibiya Center, and Al-Saferi Neighborhood Center, which operate 16 hours a day.
