The cardiac surgical team of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center- Najran has successfully performed 10 open-heart surgeries for patients aged 20-77 years, during January of last year.
According to Najran Health Affairs, these operations included 4 operations to replace heat valves (aortic, mitral and triode), in addition to another one to replace the mitral valve and repairing the triode valve for a patient with rheumatic fever.
It is noteworthy that Prince Sultan Cardiac Center is enhanced with the state-of-the-art medical technologies, with a capacity of 40 beds. It includes 2 open-heart operating rooms, a cardiac care unit (with a capacity of 6 beds), 2 diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization devices and 9 beds for cardiac care. The Affairs has recently enhanced the center with well-experiences medical cadres to provide high quality medical services. By Allah's Grace, the center has performed cardiac catheterization for more than 1,149 patients during last year, 2018.
