MOH Outlines Cancer Risk Factors
05 February 2019

In an awreness infographic published on its twitter page, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said that cancer is a disease caused by the presence of rapid growth cells that spread randomly in different body organs. It pointed out that the most important risk factors include prolonged exposure to sun rays without protection, tobacco use, aging, obesity, lack of exercise, excessive exposure to radiation and carcinogens, in addition to the genetic factor.

These steps come in parallel with the World Cancer Day and as a continuation of MOH’s efforts to maintain the health and safety of all community members, to promote healthy lifestyle and to reduce morbidity burden in line with the health system initiative under the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Vision 2030.
