According to Makkah Health Affairs, the electronic link between University Medical Center (UMC) with Makkah hospitals was launched yesterday (Tuesday) for referring patients via the Medical Referral «Ehalati» Program. “This link the serves to refer and transfer patients in a fast electronic manner between all medical levels in a record time and without delay according to medical decision and specialties at hospitals. This e-link of the program between Health Affairs and UMC is a quantum leap of rapid response to serving university patients, who are in need of healthcare at specialized hospitals”, stated the Affairs.
It is worth mentioning that «Ehalati» Program is a national project to link all hospitals of the Ministry of Health (MOH) with health sectors in other government bodies, such as university hospitals, National Guard, and the armed forces; with a view to accelerating work process, as time plays an important role for patient interest, as well as ensuring the prevention of medical complications. This 24/7 service is managed through medical coordination offices.
