By Allah’s Grace, through the implementation of MOH’s Performance Program «Adaa’», Maternity and Children Hospital- Arar has successfully improved and accelerated the provision of emergency laboratory tests from an average of 2 hours to 38 minutes; thus contributing to supporting the medical decision and speeding up treatment and discharge or hospitalization procedures.
It is worth mentioning that MOH is currently implementing «Adaa’» Program, which covers 70 main hospitals across the Kingdom so far. The program features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of seven key therapeutic aspects, including emergency, clinics, surgeries, hospitalization, ICU, radiology and laboratories. The program aims to develop the skills of health professionals to use the indicators, to identify performance improvement potentials, and to boost productivity, performance quality and efficiency of health services in hospitals.
These steps come in line with MOH's efforts to achieve one of its objectives in the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020, in terms of improving the health care provided before hospitalization and at emergency and ICU departments of main hospitals. Also, this goal, which is associated with one of the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, is to improve the quality of both preventive and therapeutic healthcare services.
