Under the auspices of the His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will launch tomorrow (Wednesday) the Health Volunteering Forum, on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day (IVD) 2018. MOH aims to implement 90,000 volunteer hours through 50% of health facilities by 30,000 volunteers via 3000 health volunteer initiatives. Also, the Minister of Health will honor a number of distinguishing volunteers in the health domain.
It is worth mentioning that, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, MOH has adopted the campaign: (#My_Volunteer_Health) –#تطوعي_صحة in Arabic– throughout all its heath facilities. The campaign aims to spread the culture of volunteering amongst MOH staff through all health affairs general directorates, medical cities, hospitals and health centers; by implementing volunteer initiatives on the occasion of the World Volunteer Day 2018, with the participation of facility's leaders and staff, given that special criteria have been set out for such initiatives.
