More than 1,000,000 Emergencies Served by Jazan Hospitals in 9 Months

​During the past nine months, Jazan hospitals provided its health services to 1,325,422 emergencies, 640,288 outpatients and 45,836 inpatients. The hospitals also performed 458,711 radiology exams, 4,940,783 laboratory tests, 15,889 birth cases, 17,544 surgeries, including 17 cardiac surgeries, 3,950 one-day surgeries, and 715 heart catheterization, in addition to 57,233 dialysis sessions. 

On the other side, Jazan primary healthcare centers provided necessary medical care and medications to 2,901,107 outpatients, while other cases were referred to reference hospitals, due to their need to specialized clinics. 

These steps come in line with MOH's efforts to achieve one of its objectives in the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020, in terms of improving the health care provided before hospitalization and at emergency and ICU departments of main hospitals. Also, this goal is related to one of the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, in terms of improving the quality of both preventive and therapeutic healthcare services.
