MOH Wins King Abdulaziz Quality Award
30 October 2018

The Ministry of Health (MOH) won the first rank of King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA) in its fourth session, given that this is the first time that the governmental sector is granted the chance  to participate in such award. The award criteria represent an organizational excellence model inspired by international models. The award winners must meet a number of criteria, including management leadership, strategic planning, human resources, resources and partnerships, as well as operation, service,  and product management. The criteria also include beneficiaries’ feedback, human resources outcomes, and main business outputs.

It is noteworthy that MOH, in continuation of the developmental momentum witnessed in all its health facilities and services, has recently established the Assistant Agency for Planning and Organizational Excellence. It mainly aims at building distinctive capabilities; to empower and accelerate the transformation process, and to achieve high performance standards. Such efforts come in line with MOH initiatives of the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020; in an endeavor to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
