The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Nursing Affairs General Department, has honored the outstanding nursing staff during the Hajj season 1439H. At the sidelines of a workshop held recently in Riyadh to discuss the development of nursing services provided for pilgrims, 126 nurses (male and female) were honored with the presence of a number of MOH's officials. The workshop comes in continuation of MOH's efforts to develop its services, particularly the nursing aspect as adopted in all medical specialties. The workshop was attended by nursing directors of health facilities in the holy sites and Makkah and Madinah regions.
The workshop has launched 2019 "outstanding nursing medal" initiative. The medal will be presented to outstanding nurses in regions and provinces during a ceremony to be announced later. The workshop has made a number of recommendations for the development of nursing services to be provided to pilgrims during the upcoming seasons.
