Madinah Health Affairs: Automated Blood Component Separation Unit Launched at King Fahad Hospital

​According to Madinah Health Affairs General Directorate, an automated blood component separation unit has been launched at King Fahad Hospital. The unit includes two activities: the first is the platelet donation to patients with bone marrow failure and leukemia, while the second is therapeutic, which is concerned with the change of therapeutic plasma for some patients and the change of red blood cells for sickle cell patients; the matter which helps improve their health conditions on the long term.
