MOH Introduces Immediate Healthcare Licenses

​In collaboration with the Committee for Improving Private Sector Performance «Tayseer», Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and General Directorate of Civil Defense, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will begin granting immediate electronic licenses for 12 health activities. The activities are classified as less serious including the support healthcare centers and pharmaceutical activities through the health services portal «seha.sa». The aim is to ease the procedures of establishing these businesses and in continuation of the MOH's approach to automate and restructure the starting-up procedures in order to develop the health facilities as part of the health sector system. 


In the same vein, MOH has recently signed an agreement with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) to exempt small and medium enterprises from license fees through seha.sa. The aim is to ease starting up a health business and to support the small and medium enterprises in the health sector and increasing their contribution to the GDP, as well as easing the financial burden on entrepreneurs and enabling them to issue the electronic licenses immediately.
