According to Najran Health Affairs, over the first half of this year (2018), the Specialized Dental Center served 13,393 outpatients, with 788 cases at oral and dental health departments, in addition to the treatment of 1,237 children. The Center also performed 1,502 maxillofacial surgeries and exodontics, 2,312 fixed and removable dentures, 2,540 orthodontics, 1,807 initial dental screenings, in as well as 1,025 preventive and therapeutic processes.
The Affairs added that the Center has participated with a number of activities, such as mobile clinics at primary schools, shopping malls, recreation and public areas in the region. During the second term of last academic year, 15,543 students (male and female) had dental tests, and fluoride and adhesives were applied to children's teeth to prevent tooth caries.
It is worth mentioning that the Specialized Dental Center-Najran is the reference center in the region to serve different dental cases. It receives outpatients referred by dental clinics of the region's inpatient and outpatient hospitals and healthcare centers. The Complex also features a number of consultants, specialists and technicians, in addition to 20 specialized clinics equipped with cutting-edge dental and medical appliances.
