By Allah Grace, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has been accredited as a provider of government digital certification services by the National Center for Digital Certification (NCDC), the affiliate of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as MOH has been able to meet the center's requirements successfully. This comes in implementation of the Royal Decree no. 41,990 issued by the Council of Ministers on 11/10/1438H., which provides for directing all government bodies to accept digital certificates issued by NCDC and to abide by required security specifications. Accordingly, MOH has applied for joining the NCDC as per the Health Minister Letter no. 335717 dated 25/8/1435H.
This accreditation enables MOH to benefit from the center's services and to issue digital certificates such as verification of identity, electronic signature, data encryption and addressing the shortcomings including the difficulty to ascertain the identity of the transacting parties electronically.
