King Abdullah Medical Complex- Jeddah Ends Suffering of Parkinson's Patient

The Neuroscience Center at King Abdullah Medical Complex- Jeddah has successfully ended the suffering of a patient in his 60s with stiff limbs, tremors, sleep disturbances and inability to speak for 15 years. After due medical checkups, the patient was treated with gelatin through a pump connected to a tube placed by gastroenterologists, which ended the patient suffering for several years. Within two months, the patient has greatly responded to treatment with improvement in his stiff limbs and tremors. He started walking better than before with improvement in the quality of sleep and speech.    
 
It is noteworthy that the services rendered by the Neuroscience Center for treatment of some neurological diseases have been enhanced with an elite of well-experienced consultants. This case is the first of its kind to be treated with the gelatin. Also, the Center has obtained the accreditation of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a training center for the Saudi Specialty Certification Program, for featuring high level capabilities.
