According to Hafr Al-Batin Health Affairs, over the past year, the Maternity and Children Hospital was enhanced with a number of medical equipment and systems, including Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). It is an integrated automated system used for saving, distributing and displaying the radiographic images. Also, the hospital was boosted with the Pneumatic Tube System (PTS), which is designed to keep and rapidly transfer lab samples, medical supplies and medicines between all departments of the hospital, in addition to saving time and effort.
Furthermore, the hospital was supplied with seven sonar devices, four 3D sonar scanners, four C-ARM imaging machines, ten air filters, five cutting-edge pediatric ventilators, five pediatric hypothermia devices, 45 incubators, a state-of-the-art anesthesia machine, and a mobile x-ray device. Currently, the hospital is being supplied with a cutting-edge MRI scanner.
