By Allah’s Grace, the neurosurgery team of King Fahad Central Hospital-Jazan has successfully saved a citizen with Traumatic Brain Injury (in the frontal lobe of his left cerebral hemisphere). As a life-saving case referred from Al-Darb General Hospital, the patient was admitted to the emergency department, where first aid was immediately administered to him. After due brain CT scan, a 3-hour surgery was successfully conducted; thus, the upper part of the brain and head was fixed, the bleeding stooped, and the bruised brain tissue (contusions) treated. By Allah’s Grace, the patient was discharged from the hospital in a stable condition, and is being followed up at the neurosurgery clinic.
