The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reiterated its call on all community members to take the initiative to get influenza vaccine at primary healthcare centers and immunization events at shopping malls.  Through an awareness infographic posted on its Twitter page, MOH indicated that the most vulnerable groups are: children under five, pregnant women, diabetics, asthma and cardiac patients. According to MOH, the vaccines are available at primary healthcare centers, as well as shopping malls such as: Othaim Mall- Riyadh, Arab Mall- Jeddah and Othaim Mall- Dammam, from Safar 20th-29th, 1439H., corresponding to November 9th-18th, 2017, from 4-10 pm.

The MOH has also pointed out that the vaccine is given to prevent influenza and its complications, and warned not to give it to children under the age of 6 months. The vaccine is given at the onset of winter. Such awareness-raising activities come in continuation of MOH's efforts to maintain the health and safety of all community members, to promote health awareness and to urge individuals to adopt healthy behaviors and healthy eating habits.
