A medical team at Maternity and Children Hospital-Al-Ahsa has successfully resected a large multiple fibroid (weighing 13kg) from a lady in her 50s. After due medical examinations and diagnostics, the surgery was successfully conducted. It was a risky surgery, due to the fibroid’s large size and multiplicity. By Allah’s Grace, the patient was discharged from hospital in a good health.
It is noted that the Maternity and Children Hospital– Al-Ahsa is one of the specialized health facilities in the governorate, providing high-quality integrated health services in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology and pediatrics. Also, it has recently achieved many progresses in the fields of neonatal hearing impairment screening and Newborn Screening Program for Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD).
