2 Hematology & Oncology Clinics at Prince Muhammad bin Nasser Hospital-Jazan Launched

 According to Jazan Health Affairs, two new clinics for hematology and oncology have been launched at Prince Muhammad bin Nasser Hospital-Jazan, to provide additional and specialized services for patients with blood disorders and cancers.

“The first clinic is Hematology Nursing Clinic; aiming to reduce overcrowding in hematology clinics, to follow up patients after discharging them, to provide simple treatment by qualified nurses trained on dealing with hematology cases, under direct medical supervision. The second is Hematology & Oncology Medical Procedures Clinic, which performs bone marrow biopsy for blood disorders and cancer cases, administration of spinal cord drug, blood and plasma change, and stem cell harvest. The two clinics have operated since the beginning of last week, and appointments are scheduled according to the treating physician,” added Jazan Health Affairs.

It is noteworthy that Hematology & Oncology Center of Prince Muhammad bin Nasser Hospital-Jazan provides its 7/24 services through a 13-bed capacity, 8 specialized clinics, in addition to a one-day clinic that receives from 15 to 20 cases a day for medical screening, chemotherapy and blood products’ services.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is currently implementing MOH's Performance Program, which aims to boost productivity, performance quality and efficiency of health services in hospitals. The program is in line with the strategic objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 towards achieving the Saudi Vision 2030. The program covers 70 main hospitals and features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of seven key therapeutic aspects.
