The new projects also include supporting burns section with 8 beds and all necessary equipment to make it the most advanced unit specialized in burn treatment and plastic surgery in the region. In addition,  a new project is launched to expand clinics and support services at the hospital's eye center, featuring 13 eye clinics, laser operation room, outpatients waiting area and eye medical equipment.

It is noted that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is currently implementing MOH's Performance Program, which aims to boost productivity, performance quality and efficiency of health services in hospitals. The program is in line with the National Transformation Plan 2020 towards achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The program covers 70 hospitals and features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of seven key therapeutic aspects, which have positively reduced the waiting times.
