Prince Sultan Cardiac Center - Al-Ahsa: 2,465 Cardiac Cath in 3 Months

According to Al-Ahsa Health Affairs, Prince Sultan Cardiac Center successfully performed 2,465 diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac caths during the third quarter of 2017. The Center also did 230 open-heart surgeries for adults, as well as 108 procedures for children and newborns. Likewise, the Center conducted 3 artificial heart operations, 9 ECMO procedures, and 8 aortic valve replacements through cardiac caths.
 
In fact, Prince Sultan Cardiac Center - Al-Ahsa provides world-class cardiac healthcare services to all cardiac patients - adults, children and neonates - by highly qualified medical, nursing and technical teams, using cutting-edge medical appliances. The Center serves the region's patients, as well as all other patients across the Kingdom.
 
It is noted that Prince Sultan Cardiac Center - Al-Ahsa with its 73-bed capacity provides cardiac healthcare services. The Center has recently obtained international accreditation as an ECMO Center by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO). It's has also successfully implanted the smallest artificial heart worldwide for three cases. In addition, it's recorded 99% in healthcare quality by the Joint. Commission. International (JCI), USA. It's also accredited by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for two research projects within modern global creative technology. The Center is also ranked #1 in quality contest under "Learn from Your Failure" competition. Furthermore, it's the first MOH's center to be accredited by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) for two projects within the Kingdom's scientific strategic plan.
