King Salman Center for Kidney Diseases: over 52 Hemodialysis Sessions in a Year

Over the past year (1438H), King Salman Kidney Center   performed 52,018 hemodialysis sessions for 351 patients. According to its annual report, the center conducted 137,119 lab tests on 16,372 blood samples. The specialized psychiatric clinic for renal failure patients served 437 patients (including 11 new cases), in addition to 17,280 medical prescriptions dispensed by the center.
 
It is noteworthy that King Salman Kidney Center, with over 600-bed capacity, was established to serve renal failure patients, who live on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialyses. It is one of the largest centers providing both types of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialyses in the Middle East.
 
Also, the center performs hemodialysis and peritoneal dialyses for renal failure patients, using specialized state-of-the-art equipment. The center’s services include nursing care during dialysis process, laboratory tests and other medical services, such as providing medical advice for kidney patients.
