The Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched a campaign to report school canteens violating the MOH’s banned list of foodstuffs and beverages. The campaign has attracted considerable engagement.
As a result, the 937 service center received 767 notices since the beginning of the current school year. Riyadh Region topped the list of complaints followed by Eastern Region and Jeddah, in accordance with the MOH's reporting mechanism via the 937 service center.
According to MOH, 633 reported cases have been closed, at a rate of 86,44%. This step comes as a continuation of MOH's efforts, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, to activate school health tasks to maintain the health and safety of school students, and to promote the concept of healthy food.
