Health Minister Sponsors Graduation Ceremony of 151 Physicians in Postgraduate Studies Programs

Health Minister, Chairman of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has sponsored the graduation ceremony of 151 doctors who have completed their associate program (Saudi Board) and specialization studies, including 126 Saudis and 25 from other Arab countries.
 
Dr. Al-Rabiah expressed his appreciation of graduating highly qualified doctors, and congratulated both graduates and their families. He also applauded the graduates' efforts to secure a professional training, as well as the efforts exerted by King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center to provide top quality and effective postgraduate medical studies.
 
In the same vein, Executive Supervisor-General of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) Dr. Majed Al-Fayyadh stated; "So far, over three decades, the hospital's academic training program has graduated 1705 doctors from 14 different nationalities. This is a true pride for King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, and a natural outcome of its diligent training programs designed to achieve its prime and foremost objective."
 
In his address to the audience, Dr. Al-Fayyadh congratulated both graduates and their families. "This year, 151 doctors have completed the Saudi Board Associate Program and their specialization studies, including 53 in the associate program (24 female and 29 male doctors), as well as 98 in specialization studies (40 female and 58 male doctors).
 
Also, Dr. Al-Fayyadh stressed that providing 21 Saudi Board Associate Programs and 66 specialization studies by the Hospital reflects its department, sections and staff's hard work. This highlights the hospital's national role to offer postgraduate medical programs. He also commended  the great efforts of the Hospital's Academic and Training Affairs to ensure optimal academic qualification.
 
From his part, the Deputy Executive Director of Academic and Training Affairs Dr. Saud AlShunaify added; "Since the beginning of the training program, this is the biggest batch, which marks an annual progressive growth as a result of the efforts exerted by KFSH&RC and the staff. Our nation witnesses extensive changes in all development and upgrading respects to achieve the Kingdom's 2030 Vision, where the health sector with all its institutions is the core. The importance of this blessed Vision lies in putting human resources atop of all its activities. Today, KFSH&RC celebrates the graduation of these highly qualified doctors to secure this Vision, in our National Day, one of our best and happiest events. Proudly, you are a true gift in our National Day."
 
In addition, the exchange trainee from Bahrain Dr. Jinan Harith Darwish addressed the audience, expressing the graduates' appreciation, and commenting on her withdrawal from the Irish Associate Program stating: "In life, one passes through different stages, sometimes willingly or reluctantly. When I joined the associate program offered by King Faisal Specialist & Research Center, I decided to quit the Irish Associate Program, though Ireland stands as my second homeland, being a graduate and a faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons - Dublin." Then Dr. Jinan extended her deep thanks to King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center for the excellent environment and top quality academic qualification.
 
After that, Dr. Al-Rabiah honored the outstanding graduates in different training programs, and memorial photos were taken.
