King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital- Taif Establishes Mobile Satellite Clinics

Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital- Taif has established Mobile Satellite Clinics at supervising healthcare centers in an endeavor to provide ultrasound scanning health services to reduce referral of patients to the hospital. The department supports health practitioners with continuous medical education program, and workers at peripheral hospitals by training them on how to deal with emergency and hazardous situations. The training courses will help them gain new experiences and be acquainted with applicable policies and processes; to ensure effective monitoring of their work at the peripheral hospitals.
 
The department participates in outreach programs through which its consultants can review sophisticated cases and express their views and advices accordingly, in addition to developing a seven-months exchange program between Saudi board trainees and specialist hospitals in Jeddah and Riyadh to gain experience in rare specialties such as fetal medicine, oncology and infertility. Likewise, the department was able to expand its services by introducing uterine and abdominal surgical endoscopes, female urodynamic test, and treatment of urinary incontinence with a modern laser device.
