MOH Signs Community Partnership Agreement for Smoking Control
17 August 2017
Today, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has signed at his ministerial office an agreement with Al-Kaws Development Technology to complete financing the second phase of Anti-Smoking Clinics Complex in Abha.

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), this agreement comes as part of a series of social partnership agreements to enhance the contribution of the private health sector and entrepreneurs in the health development, and to enable benefactors and philanthropists to engage in charitable works with a health impact that meets the actual needs of society.

As per the agreement, the two parties would seek to provide anti-smoking clinics, for both sexes, including a health awareness hall for controlling the scourge of tobacco that has badly affected the health of individuals and communities, so that smokers should not have to search for non-scientific ways to quit smoking.
