Today, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has signed at his ministerial office an agreement with Oqal Group to create an e-platform to organize and promote blood donation (Wateen).
According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), this agreement comes as part of a series of community partnership agreements to enhance leading community-based initiatives and to enable their owners to effectively contribute to serving society, in order to meet challenges and to achieve progress in the health sector. As per the agreement, both parties seek to activate the e-platform entitled: (wateen) for enhancing communication between blood banks and urging society members to donate blood.
Al-Rabiah has also signed another agreement with the Charitable Health Society for Patients Care (ENAYAH) to provide medical services at King Saud Medical City-Riyadh (KSMC).
MOH pointed out that this agreement aims to enhance the contribution of charitable sector in the health development, and to enable the charitable societies to provide high-quality healthcare services to citizens based on their actual needs. “As per the agreement, a surgical support program will be developed, in addition to serving patients, who couldn’t get the health service in the right time, or due to their inability to afford its costs in KSMC,” added MOH.
