MOH Advises Pilgrims to Avoid Sun Exposure
15 August 2017
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has stressed the need for pilgrims to avoid direct sun heat exposure and overcrowding while performing rituals in Makkah and the holy sites.

Through an awareness infographic published on its twitter page, MOH has advised pilgrims to drink plenty of fluids, to get some rest and to use light-colored umbrellas to avoid sunstroke.

It is noteworthy that the MOH has intensified its preparation to deal with the potential cases of heat exhaustion and sunstroke during the Hajj season, especially with daytime high temperature this year. Furthermore, staff of health facilities in Makkah and the holy sites have been trained on how to treat cases with heat exhaustion and sunstroke.
