King Faisal Medical Complex - Taif has adopted the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), which includes patient's file, medical records, appointments, emergency, laboratory, pharmacy and x-ray records.
Paper-based medical records have been archived, enabling doctor to request medicines and tests, and to view their results in the system. The system maintains data and guarantees easy access to them by the medical team and patient alike.
The electronic system covers the hospital and some healthcare centers. It features a number of medical systems, including EMR, Treatment Eligibility System, Medical Appointment Management System, Medical Case Management System, Laboratory Information System (LIS), Pharmacy Information System (PIS), Radiology System, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Operation and Emergency Management System, Nursing Management System, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Healthcare Center System, in addition to other specialized systems, which will also be available through a smartphone application.
