According to a recent statistic, Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate highlighted increased rate of day surgery at hospitals with over 100-bed capacity, during the first half of this year, compared to the same period last year (2016).
The statistic showed that 3,755 routine surgeries were conducted during the current year, while day surgeries recorded an increase, with 3,861 in 2017 compared to 3,517 surgeries in 2016, marking a (4.5%) improvement rate of day-surgeries indicator over the first half of 2017, compared to last year.
