Emergency and Clinics of Al-Amal Hospital - Jeddah Expanded and Developed

To increase capacity of Al-Amal Hospital – Jeddah., several renovations and expansions have been undertaken by Jeddah Health affairs for its emergency department and clinics. Accordingly, the hospital can now receive 3.450 patients. Likewise, the emergency department has been equipped to receive emergency cases and to provide proper medical services as fast as possible. Also, this department has been expanded to accommodate addiction cases, with three beds now instead of two. More emergency isolation rooms have also been added, mainly for infectious diseases. Clinics have been separated from the emergency department, and an additional reception desk has been introduced to qualify emergency and stable cases.
 
In the same vein, as for the addiction treatment clinics, a new clinic has been added to receive unscheduled patients and walk-in outpatients, to streamline medical check and treatment processes for patients with appointments. Also, support non-medical addiction treatment clinics have been expanded, including six specializations: (social services, mental health, religious guidance, recovery guidance, internal medicine and dental clinics). Moreover, the hospital's laboratory has been extended, existing medical equipment updated, x-ray room developed, and principles of radiological safety have been adopted.
