50,000 Cases Received at Emergency Sections of Makkah Hospitals

Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate stated that the total number of cases that have been admitted to Makkah hospitals amounted to more than 5,000 cases so far since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. Besides, the hospitals received about 50,000 cases at emergency sections and more than 27,000 patients at clinics, and conducted more than 600 deliveries.
 
It went on adding that during the holy month of Ramadan, five healthcare centers have been operated at the Sacred House “Al-Masjid Al-Haram”. These healthcare centers are open around the clock to provide emergency medical care for emergency cases occurring to some of the people inside Al-Masjid Al-Haram or its yards, where the first aid and necessary treatment have been provided to them, while other cases that are in need to complete treatment have been referred to public hospitals in Makkah for doing so.  Moreover, the emergency primary healthcare centers have been operated for emergency cases and injuries that may occur due to overcrowding, stress, or others.
 
Within the same vein, Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate highlighted that it has prepared an integrated plan for providing a comprehensive healthcare to visitors and pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan, during which Mecca is witnessing a great number of pilgrims coming to perform Umrah from inside and outside the Kingdom.
