In the first three months of its inauguration, the Cardiac Center in Al-Jouf has succeeded in reducing the number of cases referred outside the region into 60%. During the same period, the center conducted a number of 79 cardiac catheterizations, including 48 diagnostic ones, in addition to a number of 31 stent replacement or angioplasty procedures (i.e. common surgical procedures to open narrowed or blocked blood vessels that supply blood to the heart), and all of which have been crowned with success, May Allah be praised.
It is worth mentioning that the center comprises three operating rooms, an inpatient ward, an ICU, a private ward and a laboratory. Besides, the center has been equipped with state-of-the-art medical systems and devices and is staffed with a number of medical competences. The center aims to become a reference center for all northern regions of the Kingdom.
