The Maternity and Children Hospital in Najran has received a woman in her fifth decade, who was pregnant for the 13th time, suffering from hypertension associated with a 26-week pregnancy with fetal distress. The necessary procedures have been taken to stabilize her condition, and she has undergone an emergency cesarean section and given birth to a severely underweight girl (weighing 600 grams). The newborn has undergone initial resuscitation and been connected to the ventilator; due to the infant respiratory distress syndrome (IRDS). Then, the baby was given intravenous solutions and antibiotics, as well as treatments and nutrition required for premature babies.
It is worth mentioning that the condition of the mother and her baby has been followed up, in addition to the infant's oral feeding until her weight increased to 2 kg, May Allah be praised.
