04 May 2017
The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by Madina Health Affairs General Directorate, has announced the launch a package of initiatives, meant to promote the health services provided at King Fahad hospital in Madina. A number of 40 evening clinics, specialized in endocrinology, neurology, gastrointestinal diseases and radiology, have been activated every month to receive patients, whose appointments were scheduled to suit their personal circumstances, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. That is to be added to scheduling the orthopedic surgeries, and supporting the orthopedic section with medical staff during the evening, in an endeavor to double and consolidate the efforts for achieving a positive change in the therapeutic services provided to patients, as well as adding an evening clinic to directly contribute to the reduction of patient waiting lists.

Within the same vein, the MOH pointed out that the activation of these evening clinics and scheduling the orthopedic surgeries at the outpatient sections of the hospital have made a paradigm shift in the reduction of patient waiting lists and crowding. This matter contributes to enabling the patient to get the required high-quality service easily and conveniently, especially because the number of outpatient clinics ranged from 800 to 1,000 patients daily.
