MOH Launches First Health Initiative of National Transformation Program 2020

As part of the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020 and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will launch today, Sunday, its first initiative titled "Health Care Model". It comes within a series of initiatives to be launched later and aims at developing and implementing new approach to provide the health care that ensures maintaining health, not only treating the disease so that the role of individual, society and its institutions is integrated with the role of service provides in order to ensure access to health care in accordance with the best health practices.
As part of the expected outcomes of the model, the MOH is aspiring to provide high quality and comprehensive healthcare in short time and enabling individual and society to take care of health through different programs and initiatives that raise their awareness and help them to understand and follow the best ways and methods to make them able to have better health. 
It is worth mentioning that the NTP in the health sector aims to create an added value in the MOH by improving health outcomes, getting health services and means of providing healthcare to patients as well as providing integrated healthcare up to the highest international standards. The NTP 2020 is the first step towards realization of the Kingdom Vision 2030 which is reckoned an approach and map for economic and development process in the Kingdom, while developing general tendencies and policies and its special targets and commitments in order to become a pioneering model at all levels.
The new health system initiatives comes in the context of the first phase of the NTP 2020, which is currently being implemented in partnership between the Council of Economic and Development Affairs and 18 government entities, including 755 initiatives in various economic, development and social fields, which are  expected to contribute to the transformation of the Kingdom into the digital age and enhance partnerships between public and private sectors, job generation and maximizing local content.
