Al-Zaimaa Healthcare Center affiliated to Al-Shara’e Health Sector at Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate has received during the night shift a one-month-old baby girl, suffering from acute dyspnea, low respiration rates, low oxygen level and blue skin discoloration; due to the presence of a foreign body (bottle stopper) in the airway.
The on-duty medical team had to handle the case, in terms of performing all the first aids to save the patient’s life, placing her on the ventilator and following up her vital signs. Then, the patient was referred to the emergency of Maternity and Children Hospital in Makkah, where the necessary procedures were carried out to her and the foreign body was removed from her airway. The patient has been discharged from the hospital in the same night in stable and good health condition, May Allah be praised.
